University Hospital Leuven is a large university referral center for rare diseases and a hub of European Reference Networks (ERNs). It is a reference center for diagnostics, treatment and clinical follow-up for porphyria patients. We follow a large cohort of acute porphyria patients (with expertise in liver transplantation for this indication), EPP patients and PCT patients. We participate to international registries, natural history studies and treatment trials for porphyria.
